The Governor of Assam, Lakshman Prasad Acharya, launched the BTR Community Vision Document on Monday. This document, tied to the Bodo Peace Accord signed four years ago, heralds a new era of development and tranquility for the Bodoland Territorial Region and the entire state.

The 2020 peace accord was a landmark event, ending years of violence and hate. Spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and implemented at the state level by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and BTR chief Pramod Boro, the peace initiative has ushered in hope and progress.

The document promotes inclusivity across 26 diverse communities within the BTR, providing a strategic plan for education, health, and infrastructure. Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, it addresses past economic underdevelopment and social challenges, aiming for peace and unity among residents.
