Karnataka BJP MLC C T Ravi has called on Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot to initiate legal proceedings against police officers after his alleged unlawful arrest and mistreatment. Ravi insists his arrest, connected to a derogatory remark about Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar, lacked legal basis and consent from Council Chairperson Basavaraj Horatti.

Ravi claims the police acted without evidence and succumbed to ministerial pressure. He demands the authorities provide video evidence for forensic analysis and questions the legitimacy of the process that led to his detention.

In his letter to the Governor, Ravi describes severe mistreatment during his custody, alleging physical harm and deprivation of basic necessities. He urges the Governor to hold the Director General of Police accountable and seek clarification on the incident.
