In a significant development, police have arrested two individuals in connection with the assault of an officer at an NCC camp held in Thrikkakara. The accused, Nishad and Navas, face charges for allegedly attacking Lieutenant Colonel Karneyil Singh.
The incident followed a chaotic situation where suspected food poisoning affected over 60 cadets. According to police reports, the attack occurred when the accused trespassed into the camp area, confronting and assaulting the officer late at night.
The attack involved the use of a sharpened object, leaving the officer injured. Authorities have registered an FIR and continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
