A routine neighborhood disturbance over a barking dog spiraled out of control in Thane city, Maharashtra, leading to a serious altercation that left a woman and her mother assaulted. The troubling events unfolded Wednesday afternoon in Kasarvadavli when a man, identified as Gautam, allegedly took aim at an innocent pet.
The shocking incident began as Gautam, 25, frustrated by the barking of his neighbor's dog, grabbed a stone to threaten the animal. This provoked a confrontation with the pet owner's 64-year-old mother, who chastised him for his aggressive behavior.
As tensions boiled over, Gautam, along with his mother Maya and another woman named Nayana Thapar, escalated the situation into physical violence against the victims. They allegedly attacked the two women and molested one by tearing her dress. Local police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
