Thane Collectorate's Push for Higher Voter Turnout
Officials and collegians in Thane took an oath to boost voter turnout for the Maharashtra assembly polls. Led by Collector Ashok Shingare, the initiative aims to ensure voting is not influenced by religion, race, or other biases. Participants included government employees and students.

In a bid to boost the voter turnout for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly polls on November 20, officials and college students gathered at the Thane collectorate to take an oath. This initiative, spearheaded by Collector and District Election Officer Ashok Shingare, witnessed participation from various government employees and collegians.
The ceremony, held at 11 am, saw the presence of Resident Deputy District Collector Sandeep Mane, Sub-District Election Officer Vaishali Mane, and other officials from different departments, alongside students from Vidya Prasarak Mandal and NKT College. Their pledge is aimed at promoting unbiased voting behavior.
The oath taken by the attendees encourages them to exercise their voting rights without being swayed by religious, racial, societal, or linguistic biases, or any form of temptation, thereby contributing to a fair and democratic election process.
