Prime Minister Modi Kickstarts Development Drive on Janjatiya Gaurav Divas

Modi launches projects worth over Rs 6,640 crore, inaugurating infrastructure and healthcare projects aimed at uplifting tribal communities across several regions.

In a significant move to honor tribal leader Birsa Munda's legacy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jamui in Bihar on Friday. The visit marks the commencement of the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of the iconic figure, Birsa Munda, also known as 'Dharti Aaba'.
During the event, Modi will inaugurate various projects exceeding Rs 6,640 crore aimed at enhancing tribal communities and improving rural infrastructure. Key highlights include the unveiling of a commemorative coin and postal stamp to honor Munda, as well as the inauguration of 23 Mobile Medical Units under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan.
The Prime Minister will further enhance tribal education and entrepreneurship by inaugurating 10 Eklavya Model Residential Schools and 300 Van Dhan Vikas Kendras. Additional projects include the foundation stone for 500 kilometers of roads and efforts to document Tribal history through museums and research institutes.
