In a significant escalation, Yemen's Houthi forces announced on Tuesday that they had conducted two military operations against United States naval vessels in the strategically crucial Red and Arabian seas.
According to Yahya Sarea, the group's military spokesperson, the first strike was aimed at a U.S. aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea, employing a combination of missiles and drones. The second operation targeted two U.S. destroyers in the Red Sea, similarly utilizing missiles and drones.
The attacks, reportedly lasting eight hours, signal a heightening of hostilities in a region already fraught with geopolitical tensions.
