In a significant crackdown, Farrukhabad police have dismantled a counterfeit currency operation, seizing over Rs 1.4 lakh in fake notes as four members of the gang are now in custody.
The operation, spearheaded by the Mohammadabad police following a crucial tip-off, led to the arrest of Sarvesh Kumar and Vipin Kumar alias J P Yadav from Etah and Farrukhabad districts respectively.
Subsequent raids in Farrukhabad unearthed additional equipment used for producing the fake notes, as police apprehended Yagya Mitra Singh and Deepak Yadav. The operation unveiled a complex network of individuals involved in both the production and distribution of counterfeit currency, signaling a breakthrough in the fight against financial crime.
