In a decisive move, Delhi Lt Governor VK Saxena has instructed the swift appointment of 2,346 home guards who have successfully passed the required tests. This directive comes even as 7,939 positions remain entangled in legal battles.
The recruitment drive originally sanctioned by the LG early this year faced roadblocks due to ongoing litigation, stalling thousands of jobs despite significant interest with over one lakh applicants.
To fast-track the process, a dedicated camp is to be established within a week to conduct medical tests and issue appointment letters, ensuring that these qualified candidates join the workforce without further delay.
