Police Nab Punjab Drug Peddlers with Chitta

Two individuals were arrested for drug peddling in Punjab's Kapurthala district, police announced on Tuesday. The suspects, identified as Anu and Gurpreet Singh, were caught with 32 grams of chitta, a form of adulterated heroin.
The arrests took place near a checkpoint at Kotla Kalan Village as the suspects traveled by vehicle. Despite an attempt to evade capture, swift action by law enforcement led to their immediate apprehension.
Una Superintendent of Police Rakesh Singh confirmed that charges have been filed under the NDPS Act, the Motor Vehicles Act, and the Arms Act, highlighting the seriousness of the incident.
