Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has publicly criticized the central government, accusing it of failing to support the state's farmers in managing stubble burning, a major contributor to air pollution. During election rallies in Sanghera and Dhanaula, Mann highlighted the transboundary nature of air pollution, stressing its indiscriminate impact across regions.
The Chief Minister advocated for crop diversification to mitigate environmental effects, lamenting the central administration's lack of incentives and backing. "If they truly cared about Punjab and the environment, they would offer support to our farmers," Mann stated, underscoring the urgency of addressing air pollution meaningfully.
Mann showcased the Aam Aadmi Party's achievements, including advancements in education, healthcare, and public welfare. He assured residents of continued progress under AAP governance and criticized opposition parties for purportedly creating distractions. Mann pledged further employment opportunities and called for inspiration from historical sacrifices to fight for a cleaner, healthier Punjab.
