The Delhi BJP has taken a bold step by submitting a memorandum to Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. The document calls for a comprehensive investigation into alleged financial irregularities in power distribution companies, commonly referred to as discoms.
Led by the Delhi BJP president, Virendra Sachdeva, the party delegation accused the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of providing undue financial benefits to these companies. They allege significant kickbacks and are questioning the role of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in this scenario.
The delegation demands an inquiry into the financial dealings and calls for the recovery of funds owed to government utilities. With losses categorised as regulatory assets exceeding Rs 21,000 crore, the BJP alleges gross mismanagement by the AAP government.
