In a shocking incident, a 50-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl in outer-north Delhi's Bawana area, authorities announced on Monday. The accused, identified as Sabir from Uttar Pradesh's Mahoba, was apprehended from a forest in Hamirpur after an intensive search operation.

The crime came to light when the victim's mother, who is employed at the same factory where the alleged crime took place, reported the incident to the police on October 25. According to official sources, Sabir allegedly lured the minor to the factory, where the crime occurred.

A case has been registered under section 65 (2) of BNS and the POCSO Act. After a 15-day manhunt involving raids across several locations including Noida, Jhansi, and Kanpur, the police successfully captured Sabir. Police are currently probing his past for any previous criminal activity.
