Saktimay Chakraborty Takes Over as Tripura Advocate General

Saktimay Chakraborty has been appointed the new advocate general for Tripura, a notification announced on Monday. This follows the resignation of Siddartha Sankar Dey from the role.
Dey, who was appointed as advocate general on December 29, 2020, tendered his resignation to Chief Secretary JK Sinha and Law Secretary S Bhattacharjee.
The notification stated, "In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (1) of Article 165 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Tripura has appointed senior advocate Saktimay Chakraborty as the advocate general of Tripura with immediate effect and until further order."
