In a shocking development from Uttar Pradesh, a judge claims he was targeted by members of the notorious Sundar Bhati gang. Additional District and Sessions Judge Anil Kumar Singh managed to evade an attempted assault by five armed assailants last month.
The incident reportedly took place on October 29 as Singh was returning to Noida for the Diwali holidays. The attackers, traveling in a white SUV, attempted to intercept and shoot him, prompting Singh to flee to a nearby police outpost on the Aligarh-Tappal highway for safety.
Singh suspects this attack was orchestrated by the gang seeking revenge for past convictions. Despite the seriousness of the allegations, no headway has been made in the investigation so far, according to police officials.
