Sanjiv Khanna Takes the Helm: India's New Chief Justice

On Monday, Justice Sanjiv Khanna assumed the prestigious role of the 51st Chief Justice of India, officially sworn in at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
President Droupadi Murmu conducted the swearing-in ceremony, marking a significant transition in the country's judicial leadership.
Justice Khanna takes over from Justice D Y Chandrachud, who retired upon reaching the age limit of 65, and will serve until May 13, 2025.
