In a significant breakthrough, two suspected shooters linked to the Canada-based gangster turned terrorist Arsh Dalla have been arrested in Mohali. The two are believed to have carried out the assassination of Sikh activist Gurpreet Singh Hari Nau last month and were reportedly planning further attacks, according to Punjab Police on Sunday.
The accused, identified as Anmolpreet Singh alias Vishal and Navjot Singh alias Neetu, were also allegedly involved in the recent death of another individual in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Their arrest has reportedly prevented four potential target killings of prominent individuals, with several hideouts uncovered in different cities, police said.
Authorities seized two sophisticated pistols and live ammunition during the apprehension. Arsh Dalla, already designated a terrorist by Indian authorities, is suspected of orchestrating these crimes. His network of accomplices, including the shooters, remains under scrutiny as investigations into the group's criminal activities continue.
