Tragic Loss: PRD Jawan Killed in Kushinagar

In a tragic incident in Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh, a Prantiya Raksha Dal (PRD) jawan was beaten to death while on duty. The victim, identified as Ramakant Tiwari, was attacked with an iron rod late Saturday night by Vipin Verma, who is reported to suffer from mental illness.
According to police sources, the attack took place within 100 metres of the Chitoni police outpost. Verma violently assaulted Tiwari following an argument, delivering numerous fatal blows to his head. Police apprehended Verma on the spot, and an investigation is underway.
The attack has shocked the community where Tiwari was stationed, and raised concerns about the safety of security personnel. PRD jawans, like Tiwari, play an essential role in supporting police at stations, during fairs, and in traffic management.
