An overnight Russian drone assault on Ukraine's Odesa region has injured at least two individuals and inflicted extensive building damage, Ukrainian officials reported on Sunday.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine described the attack as massive, highlighting garage fires and damage to residential areas and businesses. Odesa's governor, Oleh Kiper, noted fires but provided limited details.
Ukrainian military defenses managed to down 62 of 145 drones, but many breached defenses, heading towards Russia, Moldova, and Belarus. No casualties were reported, but the impact on Odesa's infrastructure and civilian life was profound.
