Odisha Resumes Home Guard Recruitment
The Odisha government has lifted the ban on recruiting home guards, as per directives from Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. This will allow the state to fill 2,369 vacancies among the 17,675 sanctioned posts, where 15,306 home guards are currently employed.

The Odisha government has officially lifted the ban on recruitment of home guards, as announced in a statement from the Chief Minister's Office on Saturday. This move comes following directions from Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
The state has been facing a shortfall in its sanctioned strength of home guards, with 2,369 positions currently vacant out of a total of 17,675 sanctioned posts. Presently, 15,306 home guards are serving across the state.
The lifting of the ban is expected to accelerate the recruitment process, filling these crucial roles and bolstering security measures throughout Odisha.
