Thane Doctor Falls Victim to Rs 3.84 Crore Scam
A doctor in Thane was defrauded of Rs 3.84 crore by three individuals under the pretense of earning profits from a medical device supply contract. The victim invested between December 2020 and March 2021, but when no profits materialized, he reported the incident to police, who have yet to make arrests.

A Thane-based doctor has been defrauded of Rs 3.84 crore by three individuals who promised him profits from a civic medical device supply contract, a police official stated on Saturday.
Between December 1, 2020, and March 27 of this year, the victim, aged 39, invested the sum in several items associated with the contract, according to the Naupada police station officer.
The case, registered as cheating, arose after the doctor received neither profits nor a return on his investment. Police have filed a report but have yet to make any arrests.
