In a significant drug bust, the Department of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials seized 7.096 kg of hydroponic marijuana, valued at Rs 7 crore, from two Indian passengers arriving from Bangkok.

The discovery was made when DRI officers intercepted the duo on Thursday and examined their check-in luggage. Inside, 13 vacuum-sealed transparent packets were concealed within chocolate wrappers.

A field test confirmed the greenish substance as marijuana. Both passengers were arrested under the NDPS Act, 1985, and are now in judicial custody. Authorities continue to investigate the incident further.
