A teenage boy from the southern part of Kolkata was left seriously wounded after an object he picked up in a playground exploded. The incident occurred in the Patuli area on Friday.
The class 9 student, who thought the object was a ball, was admitted to Baghajatin State General Hospital in critical condition. Investigations are ongoing, with police suspecting the object could have been a firecracker.
