Five individuals have been apprehended following allegations of sexual assault by two women aged 17 and 22, according to Delhi police authorities. The incident reportedly occurred on November 10 in the Kasturba Niketan area. Those accused have been identified as Shivam Parchha, Aman Pal, Ashish, Amar Mehra, and Abhishek. Law enforcement officials confirmed the recovery of the vehicle purportedly used in the crime.
The arrests were made possible after police conducted raids across various locations in Delhi, utilizing technical surveillance and local inquiries to trace the suspects. The investigation unfolded when a Medico Legal Case (MLC) alert was received from Safdarjung Hospital regarding the assault on a minor, 'S', and her 22-year-old aunt 'R'.
According to an official statement, the victims encountered the suspects near an underpass close to Defence Colony around midnight. They were persuaded to enter a car under the pretense of being taken to another club. Upon entering the vehicle, they were offered drinks laced with alcohol and subsequently taken to multiple locations, including a house in Kasturba Niketan, where the alleged assaults occurred. The next morning, one of the accused dropped the victims near the aunt's residence. A case has been registered under several legal provisions as the investigation continues.
