Rajnath Singh Highlights India-China Consensus and Unity in Northeast

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh declared that the disengagement process in certain areas of the Line of Actual Control (LAC) between India and China is "almost complete," following a broad consensus achieved through diplomatic and military discussions. This agreement includes crucial aspects such as patrolling and grazing rights in traditional areas.
At an event inaugurating the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and the Major Ralengnao 'Bob' Khating Museum of Valour in Tawang, Singh highlighted the strategic developments in the Northeast. He acknowledged Major Khating's role in peacefully integrating Tawang into India, emphasizing its significance to national security and unity.
Singh underscored the importance of developing the Northeast economically and infrastructurally, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision. Key projects like the Sela tunnel and Arunachal Frontier Highway, aimed at improving connectivity and economic growth, were showcased as vital initiatives for the region's prosperity.
