Pakistani security forces conducted a decisive operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday, eliminating eight militants, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The operation, centered in Bannu district's Bakka Khel area, targeted a location reportedly harboring a wanted terrorist, leading to the deaths of eight terrorists and injuries to seven more.
Major Atif Khalil, leading the troops, was among three soldiers who perished in the operation. Recent government actions have ramped up efforts against the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and similar insurgent groups.
