Charas Seizure: Two Arrested in Thane District
Police in Thane district, Maharashtra, arrested two individuals after seizing charas worth Rs 1.25 crore. The Anti-Narcotics Cell intercepted them near Golden Nest locality. The duo was charged under the NDPS Act as efforts continue to trace the source and destination of the contraband.

Two individuals have been apprehended by the police in Maharashtra's Thane district following the seizure of charas valued at Rs 1.25 crore, as confirmed by an official on Wednesday.
According to a spokesperson for the Mira Bhayandar, Vasai Virar police, members of the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) halted the suspects near Golden Nest locality in Bhayander (East) on Monday.
The suspects were in possession of 3.1 kg of charas. The Navghar police have filed charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Authorities are currently investigating the origin and destination of the confiscated drugs.
