Mumbai Man Arrested for Threatening Salman Khan with Extortion Plot
A 56-year-old man named Azam Mohammed Mustafa was arrested in Mumbai for threatening to kill Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique unless they paid Rs 2 crore. A significant arrest in Mumbai on Wednesday has highlighted ongoing safety concerns for celebrities. A 56-year-old individual, Azam Mohammed Mustafa, was apprehended for allegedly issuing life threats to Bollywood star Salman Khan and Maharashtra's NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique.
The threats were conveyed through a message sent to the Mumbai traffic police's WhatsApp helpline, demanding Rs 2 crore from both Khan and Siddique, with ominous references to the murder of Zeeshan's father, Baba Siddique.
Authorities successfully identified the suspect using call detail records and technical input which led to Mustafa's arrest in Bandra. This incident reflects a series of similar threats against Khan, who has been targeted by various entities in the past.
