A Delhi court has acquitted three women accused of possessing 12 grams of smack, citing a lack of evidence in the case.
Judge Ekta Gauba Mann, presiding over the Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) case, criticized the investigation for its shortcomings, notably the absence of independent public witnesses and critical CCTV footage.
Forensic reports revealed no narcotic substances in the recovered samples, casting doubt on the credibility of the prosecution's case, leading the court to dismiss all charges against the accused women.
