In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Kauvery Hospital in Tirunelveli orchestrated the Singapenne Classic Weightlifting Championship, a groundbreaking event held at Anna Stadium. Designed to empower and inspire female athletes, the event also aimed to elevate breast cancer awareness among women.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Tmt. V. Geetha, the Deputy Commissioner of Police for West Tirunelveli City, who inaugurated the championship and delivered a compelling address on women's health and prevention strategies. Key figures like Manikandan, District RC Coordinator of the Lions Club, and Mrs. Suthanthira Lakshmi, a former District Governor of the Lions, distributed prizes to the triumphant participants.

Contributing to the awareness efforts, Dr. Indhuja, a Medical Oncologist, along with Dr. Siraj Fathima and Dr. Sindhuja, specialists in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Kauvery Hospital, imparted essential insights on breast cancer, emphasizing early detection and preventive measures. The championship saw spirited participation from over eighty weightlifting athletes hailing from Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, Tuticorin, Kanyakumari, and Virudhunagar, all competing fiercely.

Offering a substantial total cash prize of INR 50,000, the event motivated athletes to push their boundaries while fostering a supportive environment. Kauvery Hospital expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants, guests, and supporters for their contributions to this successful initiative.

This championship not only showcased athletic prowess but also highlighted Kauvery Hospital's unwavering commitment to advancing women's health awareness.
