The Kremlin has outrightly dismissed a report by the Financial Times that suggested Russia and Ukraine are in the preliminary stages of talks to halt airstrikes on each other's energy installations.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on the matter, stating that numerous reports in circulation are "not connected to reality."

According to the FT, which cited sources including senior Ukrainian officials, Ukraine was aiming to restart talks mediated by Qatar that nearly reached an agreement in August.
