Amid rising concerns over cross-border infiltrations, a senior army official confirmed the presence of over 50 terrorists stationed on launching pads, intending to breach the Jammu region. Forces remain vigilant against these threats, promising to thwart any infiltration attempts, particularly during the challenging winter months.
In a successful operation within the Akhnoor sector, security forces eliminated three terrorists after a 27-hour standoff, highlighting the army's preparedness for any internal threats. Major General Sameer Srivastava asserted that such successes showcase their capability to counter terrorist activities effectively.
Despite the uncertain numbers of terrorists awaiting infiltration, joint intelligence reports indicate around 50 to 60 individuals focused south of Pir Panjal. The army reassured civilians of their safety, emphasizing enhanced counter-infiltration operations and vigilance across sensitive areas.
