In a significant development, Goa police on Tuesday apprehended three individuals linked to an attack on a journalist in South Goa, which took place last month.
Authorities arrested Renito Francis Fernandes from Vasco, alongside Mandar Shridhar Prabhu and David Joaquim Diniz from Ponda, for their alleged involvement in assaulting journalist Amit Naik, reported a senior official with PTI.
The assault motive has yet to be determined, and further arrests could unfold, officials noted. The attack occurred on September 14 as Naik was en route home in Sanguem, a correspondent for a local channel and YouTube content creator.
