Addressing the audience, Sanchez highlighted the challenges posed by Beijing's assertiveness in the South China Sea, urging India and Spain to uphold the rules-based international order. With Asia becoming the epicenter of global power dynamics, he argued, cooperation between New Delhi and Madrid is crucial for supporting multilateral institutions.

Furthermore, Sanchez announced Spain's intent to launch a new strategy for Asia, focusing on stronger ties in areas like AI, which he believes can play a transformative role in addressing challenges such as misinformation. The President also underscored the importance of ethical standards in AI development.
