A clandestine meth lab with ties to a notorious Mexican drug cartel has been uncovered in Noida, resulting in the arrest of five individuals, including a warden from Tihar Jail and two businessmen based in Delhi, as revealed by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday.

In a decisive strike on October 25, the NCB dismantled the illegal laboratory situated in the Kasna industrial area of Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddh Nagar district. Approximately 95 kilograms of methamphetamine, in both solid and liquid forms, were confiscated from the premises.

Collaborating with the Special Cell of the Delhi Police, the NCB traced the complex web of the drug network operating across the NCR. The plot unravelled when a businessman from Delhi was caught red-handed at the factory, implicating him and a Tihar Jail warden as key figures in the illicit operation.
