A clandestine methamphetamine production facility was dismantled in Noida recently, with authorities apprehending five individuals connected to a notorious Mexican drug cartel, according to the NCB. Among those detained were a Tihar Jail warden and two Delhi-based businessmen.
The lab, located in the Kasna industrial area, yielded about 95 kg of methamphetamine in both solid and liquid states. The NCB, alongside the Special Cell of the Delhi Police, unearthed a broad-reaching drug network across the National Capital Region.
An investigation has revealed a businessman alongside a Tihar Jail warden facilitated the establishment of the lab, obtaining essential chemicals and equipment. A chemist from Mumbai was engaged to produce the drugs, while quality checks were carried out by a cartel member residing in Delhi.
