Carpenter Arrested for Salman Khan Extortion Threat

A carpenter hailing from Uttar Pradesh has been arrested in Noida for allegedly threatening Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. In a joint operation by Noida and Mumbai police, Taib Ansari was taken into custody for posing as a gangster’s brother and demanding Rs 10 crore extortion money.
According to the authorities, Ansari, who is from Bareilly, reportedly used a helpline number sourced from the internet to make his threatening call. The arrest took place at an under-construction site in Noida's Sector 92, where Ansari was working.
The police traced the call to Noida and quickly acted upon the lead, capturing Ansari and recovering the mobile phone used in the incident. Following his arrest, Ansari will be taken to Maharashtra on transit remand for further legal proceedings.
