The Karnataka High Court has put a hold on the investigation into a criminal case against Gopal Joshi, the brother of Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, his son Ajay Joshi, and their associate Vijayalakshmi. The case involves allegations of financial misconduct.
The court's decision includes an order for the release of the three from police custody, citing issues surrounding the complaint filed by Sunita Chavan, wife of former MLA Devanand Phool Singh Chavan. She alleges that the accused promised a BJP ticket for Rs two crore but failed to deliver.
The High Court noted the complaint's financial dispute core, described as being filed six months post-incident, while petitioners have committed to repay the alleged amount. Pralhad Joshi distanced himself from the matter, emphasizing no involvement.
