China and the European Union have made headway in their trade negotiations, according to the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. In a recent video call, Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao and EU trade chief Valdis Dombrovskis agreed to take their discussions further.
The focus of the talks centered around trade and pricing commitments between the two economic giants. The Chinese ministry confirmed that they have agreed to immediately commence the next phase of consultations.
In a positive gesture, China has extended an invitation to the EU team to visit the country at the earliest opportunity, indicating its readiness to deepen dialogue and cooperation.
