Odisha Triumphs with 'Zero Casualty Mission' During Cyclone Dana

Odisha has emerged successful in its 'Zero Casualty Mission' during the severe cyclonic storm Dana, as confirmed by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. The government has reported no loss of human life or injury in the storm that hit the coast on Thursday night.
The state had meticulously prepared for the cyclone, setting an ambitious target to ensure no casualties. Majhi praised the efforts of stakeholders, including rescue operations and public cooperation, which led to the evacuation of approximately six lakh people to safety, thereby safeguarding precious lives.
Restoration efforts are underway, with roads and power being repaired swiftly. Despite the challenges, health services prevailed as 1,600 babies were safely born amidst the cyclone. The system now moves towards interior regions with reduced wind speeds.
