Agriculture has emerged as the most contentious issue in the ongoing negotiations for a free trade agreement between India and the European Union, according to Germany's Economy Minister, Robert Habeck.
Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, Habeck expressed concerns over the agricultural sector's complex issues and suggested a strategic pivot towards the industrial sector to expedite the negotiation process.
The minister noted that concentrating on industrial agreements could yield more immediate and practical results in the trade discussions.
