Liam Neeson, renowned for his intense action roles, may soon be stepping away from the genre that catapulted him to stardom. According to reports from People, the 'Taken' star plans to retire from action movies by 2025. 'I'm 72 -- it has to stop at some stage,' Neeson revealed, acknowledging that audiences can't be deceived forever.

Neeson, who has yet to specify the particulars of his final action film, hinted at a likely conclusion by the end of next year. He added, 'Maybe the end of next year. I think that's it,' indicating a potential timeline for his departure from physically demanding roles.

While his days of high-octane performances may be dwindling, Neeson is exploring a third act in comedy. He recently finished filming a reboot of the classic Leslie Nielsen police comedy 'The Naked Gun', where he portrays the bumbling detective Frank Drebin Jr., alongside Pamela Anderson as a seductive femme fatale. Although Neeson is unsure about his comedic chops, Anderson praises his performance, admitting it was difficult to keep a straight face while filming scenes together.
