An image from a CCTV capture, allegedly showing a Pheran-clad terrorist linked to the Gagangir attack in Jammu and Kashmir, has surfaced. However, authorities are cautious, as they have not confirmed whether this person is the perpetrator of the October 20 attack that claimed seven lives.
The photograph depicts the suspect entering a prefabricated hut, possibly at a tunnel construction site in Gagangir, where six non-local laborers lost their lives in a terror strike. The image's timestamp, 'January 27,' raises questions about settings or technical errors, while the rifle displayed bears a blue marking—a feature noted in firearms used in attacks on security forces in the Pir Panjal area.
Despite the CCTV image showing the assailant's face uncovered, attack survivors reported that the attackers had concealed their faces. A senior police official emphasized the investigation's sensitivity, noting that commenting on such evidence prematurely could hinder ongoing efforts.
