Mumbai Police apprehended another suspect in the murder case of NCP leader Baba Siddique, increasing the number of detainees to 11, officials revealed on Wednesday.
The latest arrest, Amit Hisamsing Kumar, aged 29, was made in Haryana following information garnered during the questioning of alleged accomplices.
Siddique was tragically gunned down on October 12, outside the office of his son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique, in Mumbai's Bandra area. Investigators are exploring multiple motives, such as contract killing or disputes over a slum rehabilitation project, but none have been confirmed. Meanwhile, three key suspects remain at large, including the primary shooter and two conspirators.
