Cash Haul: Jharkhand Police Seizes Over 73 Lakhs in Dhanbad

Jharkhand Police made a significant seizure of Rs 71.97 lakh in cash from a car during a vehicle check in the early hours of Wednesday in Dhanbad district. The interception occurred at the Dhanbad-Bokaro check-post under the limits of Mahuda police station.

Dhanbad Deputy Commissioner Madhvi Mishra confirmed the cash recovery from a vehicle traveling from Bokaro district. Authorities are now investigating the source and legitimacy of the funds.

In a related incident, officials recovered Rs 1.5 lakh from a bike within the Barora police station area on Tuesday night. An income tax team is involved in examining the documentation connected to these cash holdings.
