Germany has officially summoned North Korea's charge d'affaires, according to a report from the foreign ministry in Berlin, due to mounting concerns over North Korea's increasing backing of Russia in the Ukrainian conflict.
The German foreign office expressed alarm via a post on social media platform X, stating that if reports of North Korean soldiers' presence in Ukraine are accurate, it signifies a breach of international law and a new military support from North Korea for Russia's aggressive actions.
This development poses a direct threat to German security and jeopardizes peace throughout Europe, the ministry emphasized, raising significant international diplomatic concerns.
