The Mumbai police have implemented stringent measures for the upcoming assembly elections, limiting the entry of people and vehicles during nomination submissions.

According to an official statement, only five individuals can enter the Returning Officer's cabin, and a candidate's presence is restricted to three vehicles within a 100-metre radius of the RO's office.

Prohibitory orders were issued under section 163 of the BNSS, which include a ban on political campaigns involving slogans, rallies, processions, and musical instruments during the nomination process. These orders will remain in effect until November 4 across Mumbai's districts and suburbs.
