AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi has voiced his anticipation for clarity regarding the recent patrolling agreement between India and China. He emphasized the need for India's territorial rights to remain upheld, while cautioning against any unintentional benefits for the PLA.
Owaisi's comments came following an official announcement by India's government, which hailed the agreement as a significant step towards resolving a prolonged military impasse in eastern Ladakh. The move is expected to smooth the way for upcoming discussions between Prime Minister Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri confirmed that the terms were settled after extensive negotiations. He highlighted that this development marks the end of issues that had persisted since 2020, as soldiers from both nations prepare to resume regular patrolling activities.
