The recent Ganderbal terror incident in Jammu and Kashmir has left the region in shock, as terrorists targeted a tunnel construction site on the Srinagar-Leh national highway, resulting in the deaths of seven people, including a doctor and six laborers. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha responded by offering condolences and ensuring governmental support for the victims' families.

In a swift move, the Lieutenant Governor flew from Srinagar to Jammu city to meet with the family of victim Shashi Abrol, guaranteeing support to Ruchi Abrol, the widow. During his visit, Sinha affirmed that the government would relentlessly pursue and eliminate those responsible, labeling the attack as an outcome of frustration from neighboring Pakistan.

Authorities have taken decisive action, with security forces granted full powers to track down the culprits. This attack marks the deadliest assault on non-local laborers in Kashmir since 2006. The incident has galvanized both local and national forces to enhance security measures and support systems for affected families.
