In a significant ruling, the Supreme Court on Monday declined to halt the Telangana Public Service Commission's examination for 563 Grade-1 posts, citing potential chaos from such an interruption.
Despite senior lawyer Kapil Sibal's advocacy for postponement due to long-standing gaps, the examinations commenced, marking the first since Telangana's reorganization in 2014.
Challenging the state's quota policy, the results will be monitored by the High Court, with over 31,000 candidates having qualified for the significant examination.
